Brian Dawkins, Nirvana athlete investor and retired 16-year NFL safety, hit the links on May 2nd on behalf of his foundation, the Brian Dawkins Impact Foundation. Dawkins was joined by current and retired professional athletes, celebrities, and numerous other golfers to help raise awareness and support for his foundation.
The Brian Dawkins Impact Foundation was created in 2019 with a belief in the power of transformative moments to trigger a spark in young people – young people who have the desire to make positive decisions in life and just need the tools to make it happen. The Impact Foundation works to inspire, educate and support young people to retain the drive and passion to succeed despite hardships, impacting families and communities to ultimately change all our lives for the better.
On May 2nd, Dawkins hosted the second annual Brian Dawkins Driving Impact Celebrity Golf Tournament. The event included a Celebrity Soiree, live and online auctions, and a round of golf at Penn Oaks Golf Club in West Chester, PA. The event welcomed over 350 people. Some of the notable attendees included: Eddie George, Ike Reese, Jason Avant, Brent Celek, Jevon Kearse, Seth Joyner, Takeo Spikes, Ron Jaworski, AJ Feely, and Trent Cole (just to name a few).
Over $100,000 was raised from the event and will go to the foundation to help bring transformational moments to young people in under-served communities.
Nirvana is proud to have sponsored this event, working alongside Dawkins to support his terrific cause, and to ensure all golfers and attendees were well hydrated on the course!
